MAMAMOO’s Solar has belatedly revealed that she was subjected to an unexpected attack in Los Angeles, USA. She was hit in the leg by a wooden chair thrown by a stranger and suffered bruising, but said she has since recovered.
Solar opened up about the incident during an Instagram Live on August 31. The incident occurred while she was walking down the street in LA with a group of five people, including MAMAMOO member Moonbyul, her hairstylist, and two male managers.

According to Solar, a man suddenly approached the group, shouted profanity at them in English, and then threw the wooden chair he was carrying. Solar was struck by the chair. “This is the first time in my life I’ve ever experienced something like this,” she said, explaining that she was extremely shocked at the time.
The man was reportedly a complete stranger who had no prior connection to Solar. Immediately after the attack, the two managers following the group intervened and restrained the man, who subsequently left the scene.

Solar explained that she was unable to properly react to the sudden situation. She was so shocked that she could not even scream, and said she did not feel any pain at the time because she was too stunned by what had happened.
She said the incident occurred several days earlier and that the chair broke when it hit the ground, leaving a bruise on her leg. However, she added that the bruise has since disappeared and she has fully recovered.
Meanwhile, MAMAMOO is currently on their MAMAMOO 2026 World Tour. The group kicked off their US leg with a concert in Los Angeles on August 25, followed by performances in San Jose on August 27 and Kent, Washington, on August 30.
