A boy group idol recalled his dormitory life and revealed that his group held “shower contests” while living together.
On August 26th, the KBS 1TV variety show Let’s Live Together with Hwang Shin Hye featured Hwang Shin Hye, Yang Jung Ah, and Shin Gye Sook preparing a thanksgiving feast for their neighbors.
Super Junior member-turned-trot singer Sungmin, who joined as a helper for the feast that day, told Hwang Shin Hye, Yang Jung Ah, and Shin Gye Sook, “It would be so nice if we lived together.”
Sungmin continued, “I lived in a dorm with my members for a long time. So there were some inconveniences, but sisters, didn’t you have any inconveniences?” referring to his Super Junior members.
Hwang Shin Hye honestly said, “There was only one bathroom, so we had to wait to wash up.”
In response, Sungmin said, “We had quick shower contests because of washing up. The person who finished first got a prize.”
When asked if he was fast, Sungmin recalled, “I wasn’t even among the fast ones. The fastest were like, ‘How can you shower that fast?’ They’d go in and come right back out.”
Yang Jung Ah revealed, “Our number one was Hwang Shin Hye unnie. She finished in three minutes,” to which Hwang Shin Hye defended, “Don’t exaggerate. It wasn’t three minutes.“
