TWICE leader Jihyo is facing online speculation about possible rhinoplasty after posting photos from a Mugler photo shoot on Instagram.

A side-profile image led some users to compare her nose with earlier photos. Some claimed the shape appeared different and suggested she had undergone plastic surgery. Jihyo and her agency have not confirmed whether she has had any cosmetic procedure.
The debate produced mixed reactions. Some fans expressed disappointment over the possibility that Jihyo had changed her appearance. Others said the difference could be caused by makeup, lighting, styling or the camera angle. Fans also questioned whether she had enough time to undergo surgery and recover while managing a demanding schedule.
Koreaboo reported that Jihyo had recently completed a year-long tour and continued with other commitments. Fans argued that the timing made the claims difficult to assess. Rhinoplasty recovery varies, but swelling and other changes may last for months, and the nose can take up to a year to fully settle. Images alone cannot confirm whether surgery occurred.

Some fans also said the question was private, arguing that Jihyo should be free to make decisions about her appearance without public scrutiny, whether or not she had a procedure.
The speculation comes after separate online discussion about Jihyo’s body. In a March article, The Body Optimist reported that an X user praised Jihyo as an idol seen amid what the user called a “skinny epidemic.” The comment was intended to support body diversity but drew criticism for implying that Jihyo was not thin.
It also reported that the reaction exposed how social media and entertainment culture can distort perceptions of normal bodies. Commenters argued that women are criticized whether they are considered too thin or not thin enough, reflecting pressure to meet narrow beauty standards.
Jihyo’s skincare routine has also received attention. The Korea Times, citing Kormedi.com, reported in May that she applies skincare products in thin layers, uses a beauty device and finishes with a sheet mask during tour stops.
Experts said the method may help distribute products evenly and reduce moisture loss, but warned that excess product, prolonged mask use or device use on irritated skin can cause problems.
Jihyo has not publicly addressed the speculation.
