From August 21 to 23, BIGBANG held its 20th-anniversary world tour, XX : COSMOS, at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province. More than 100,000 fans attended across the three-day event, which concluded successfully. Amid the excitement, a heartwarming story about G-Dragon’s quick thinking has been drawing attention.
Recently, a video of G-Dragon on stage began spreading rapidly across social media. In the footage, G-Dragon notices a camera director stepping backward while trying to capture the performance from a particular angle. He immediately gestures urgently toward the director.
The stage was reportedly around 2 meters high. Had G-Dragon not intervened, the camera director could have suffered a serious fall. G-Dragon moved aside to give the director room to safely step back onto a secure area. He then moved behind the director while the camera operator filmed the other members, effectively positioning himself as a human safety barrier in case the director lost his balance.
A netizen who identified herself as the camera director’s wife later expressed her gratitude, writing, “G-Dragon saved my husband. The stage was about 2 meters high, and as you know, that part of the performance involves the performers continuously moving closer. While trying to get the right angle, my husband stepped backward, and if G-Dragon hadn’t been there, he could have fallen off the stage.”

She continued, “It could have been a really serious accident. Once again, we are grateful to G-Dragon. Thanks to him, my husband came home safely.”
BIGBANG will continue its world tour following the opening shows in Goyang, visiting 19 cities worldwide with a total of 33 performances, including stops in the United States, France, the United Kingdom and Australia.
