On August 8, Lee, the CEO of a domestic fashion brand V, posted photos with Yoo Ah In on social media.
In the photos, the two appeared close together, posing with their heads touching and faces near each other. Lee also expressed his affection for Yoo Ah In, writing, “I’ll love you, hyung.”
Yoo Ah In and Lee are reportedly longtime close friends. Yoo Ah In has also been known to regularly wear products from the brand operated by Lee.
Previously, Yoo Ah In was prosecuted on charges including the habitual use of medical narcotics such as propofol. Last year, South Korea’s Supreme Court finalized his sentence at one year in prison, suspended for two years, along with a fine of 2 million won.
Yoo Ah In was accused of repeatedly using medical narcotics, including propofol, midazolam, ketamine and remimazolam, on 181 occasions between September 2020 and March 2022 at hospitals in Seoul, allegedly under the guise of receiving sleep anesthesia for cosmetic procedures.
He was also accused of illegally obtaining more than 1,100 sleeping pills under another person’s name through 44 separate prescriptions between May 2021 and August 2023. In addition, he faced allegations of smoking marijuana in the United States with Choi and others in January 2024.
While keeping a low profile during his period of self-reflection, Yoo Ah In attracted attention last month when he attended the VIP screening of director Na Hong Jin’s film HOPE at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, on July 13. Although he did not pose at the official photo wall, he was spotted greeting acquaintances at the event.
In particular, Yoo Ah In was reportedly accompanied by director Jang Jae Hyun, whose film Vampire has been mentioned as a possible comeback project for the actor. However, NEW, the film’s investment and distribution company, previously stated that Yoo Ah In’s appearance in the movie had not been confirmed.
