Actress Son Na Eun has explained why she was unable to attend Apink member Yoon Bomi’s wedding, saying her absence was caused by busy schedules rather than personal reasons.
Son Na Eun addressed the topic during a July 29 interview following the successful conclusion of SBS’s drama “Agent Kim Reactivated.”
According to AllKPop, when asked about missing Bomi’s wedding, she shared that the timing of the ceremony overlapped with her work commitments.
“We were in the final stages of filming the drama, and I also had overlapping schedules, so I couldn’t attend the wedding,” Son Na Eun said.
Her absence from the event had drawn attention because other Apink members, including Chorong, Eunji, Namjoo, and Hayoung, attended the private ceremony held in May. Former member Hong Yoo Kyung was also present, while Son Na Eun was the only current or former member not seen at the celebration.
The situation led some fans to question whether there was tension between Son Na Eun and the group. Since leaving Apink in 2022 to focus on acting, she has faced repeated speculation about her relationship with her former members.
Son Na Eun Reaffirms Support for Apink
However, Son Na Eun made it clear that her feelings toward Apink have not changed. She described the group as an important part of her life and expressed continued support for the members.
“Apink is a precious team with whom I spent my teens and twenties. Whenever something good happens to the members, I sincerely want to congratulate them, and my support for them as a fan has never changed,” she said.
Son Na Eun also reflected on her journey from idol to actress. After debuting with Apink in 2011, she gradually built her career in acting and has embraced her past as part of her growth, SportsKhan reported.
“Being a former idol is a valuable part of my journey that made me who I am today, and I’m grateful for it. At the same time, I believe it’s my responsibility to continue working hard and show an even better side of myself as an actress,” she explained.
The actress previously addressed similar rumors in 2022 when she could not join Apink’s 10th debut anniversary activities. At the time, she expressed disappointment over missing the promotions and asked fans to continue supporting the group.
