July set the bar high, but August is ready to match it. Here are five new K-Dramas hitting screens this month across romance, crime, and everything in between.
1. My Bias, My Boss
This tvN office rom-com premieres August 3 and is already one of the most talked-about shows of the month.
Kim Hye Jun plays Nam Da Reum, a devoted fan of former idol-turned-CEO Kang Ha Gi, played by Kang Hoon. She turns down a major job offer just to work at his company — and ends up becoming his favorite employee instead of getting anywhere near her bias. Cha Woo Min also stars. International viewers can watch on HBO Max.
2. Flex x Cop Season 2
The wealthy detective is back. Ahn Bo Hyun returns as Jin Yi Soo in this SBS action-crime show premiering August 7, now partnered with a demanding veteran detective played by Jung Eun Chae. Expect bigger villains, sharper clashes, and the same chaotic chaebol energy that made the first season a hit. Yoo Seung Ho also joins the cast this season. International viewers can stream on Disney+.
3. Our Sticky Love
Jung Hae In plays Jang Tae Ha, a small-town boxing coach whose first love, a sharp prosecutor played by Ha Young, loses her memory in an accident and wakes up not remembering him at all. To protect her, he tells her they’re in a relationship — which is a lie. This Netflix romantic comedy drops August 7 and is available globally.
4. Mousetrap
Netflix’s most anticipated thriller of the month, premiering August 18. Ryu Jun Yeol plays a reclusive writer who wakes up to find his entire identity stolen by a mysterious man known only as “The Rat.” To get his life back, he’s forced into an unlikely alliance with a ruthless loan shark played by Sul Kyung Gu. Based on a popular webtoon, this cat-and-mouse crime show will be available globally on Netflix.
5. Four Hands, Two Sonatas
Rounding out the month on August 29 is this musical romance from tvN and Netflix. Song Kang and Lee Jun Young play two friends at an arts high school whose bond and rivalry push them to new heights as they grow into professional musicians who share a single piano. Jang Gyuri also stars as a love interest. It’s the kind of slow-burn friendship-to-something-more story that will have you watching with headphones in. Available on Netflix globally.
