Lee Jung Hyun first made a strong impression on viewers through the 2018 hit K-Drama Mr. Sunshine, written by Kim Eun Sook. In the drama, he played the role of Japanese soldier Sergeant Tsuda, earning attention for his natural Japanese dialogue and detailed character portrayal, both of which were strengthened by his experience studying in Japan.

Since then, he has continued to build a steady filmography through projects such as Netflix’s Sweet Home, Snowdrop, The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection, Wavve’s Reverse, and the film Shark: The Beginning. Lee Jung Hyun is also set to return to viewers in the second half of the year through ENA’s upcoming K-Drama New Recruit 4: Sabotage. He is also awaiting the release of the film New Recruit: The Movie.
