On the May 15 broadcast of KBS2’s Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant, Kim Jae Joong shared an honest conversation with fellow 1986-born friends Choi Jin Hyuk and Yoon Shi Yoon.
During the episode, the three stars openly talked about dating, marriage, and future family plans. Kim Jae Joong invited his friends over and prepared a special homemade health-boosting meal, naturally leading the conversation toward the topic of marriage.
When Choi Jin Hyuk and Yoon Shi Yoon mentioned that their mothers were partly the reason they had not gotten married yet, Kim Jae Joong said he could not fully relate and went on to share stories from his past relationships.
In particular, Kim Jae Joong drew attention when he said, “Men also need to properly prepare for having children.” He then revealed that he had frozen his sperm to prepare for a healthy second generation in the future.
Hearing this, Choi Jin Hyuk responded, “I’ve thought about it too,” and began asking a flood of questions. Host Boom praised their mindset, saying they were showing responsibility and preparation for the future.
However, Kim Jae Joong reportedly shook his head afterward and admitted, “I don’t think I could ever do it again,” sparking curiosity about the full story behind his candid confession and honest thoughts on the process.
