A Russian photographer has reportedly been sentenced to compulsory labor after being charged over writing online fanfiction involving Stray Kids.
According to reports from Novaya Gazeta Europe, photographer Alexandra Kuzyk received a sentence of 18 months of compulsory labor after authorities accused her of producing illegal pornography through a fanfiction story depicting a same-sex relationship.

The story was allegedly uploaded online in 2022. The case began after a woman reportedly discovered the fanfiction on her underage daughter’s device and filed a complaint with police. LGBT health organization Parni+ later stated that the work was based on members of Stray Kids.
Kuzyk reportedly admitted guilt during the trial and described fanfiction writing as a long-time hobby. Prosecutors had initially requested a four-year prison sentence, but the court instead ordered compulsory labor while withholding 10% of her earnings for the state.

The case has drawn attention amid Russia’s expanded crackdown on LGBT-related content. In 2022, the country widened its ban on so-called LGBT “propaganda,” and enforcement has intensified since then. Authorities have also reportedly targeted websites hosting amateur fiction and manga platforms accused of distributing LGBT-themed material.
Last year, Russian-language manga platform MangaLIB was fined under the same regulations, with additional penalties issued to company staff members.
