Fourth-gen girl group FIFTY FIFTY is facing heated backlash online after being spotted with a questionable individual.

The person in question is David Yong, an investor and a key figure in ATTRAKT, FIFTY FIFTY’s label.

Recently, Yong took to his Instagram account and posted a video featuring the FIFTY FIFTY members, congratulating them for becoming the promotional ambassadors for Hanam city.
#FIFTYFIFTY were recently seen with David Yong, who is currently facing 17 criminal charges. #ATTRAKT previously claimed it had cut ties with him, yet Yong has been seen with the company’s CEO, and his company, Power Entertainment, is a partner for FIFTY FIFTY’s Asia Fancon Tour. pic.twitter.com/SGhGIv0Ntd

The post immediately stirred up controversy, since in 2024, Yong was charged in a Singaporean court for falsifying tax invoices for his company, Evergreen Group Holdings. When the news broke, ATTRAKT had publicly distanced itself from Yong, stating that his investment in the company was minimal.
Yong was first charged in 2024 with four counts of falsification of accounts, following another count in 2025. In March 2026, he was charged with a further twelve counts for conspiring to make false entries in accounts and issuing illegal loans.
Netizens, mostly fans of Ablume (girl group consisting of former FIFTY FIFTY members), called out the group’s link to Yong, drawing attention toward ATTRAKT’s problematic associations.

So Ablume are “criminals” for working with The Givers, but #FIFTYFIFTY aren’t even though they’re literally posing and smiling with a man facing 17 criminal charges? Ablume are “liars” but #ATTRAKT claimed it had cut ties with him. As we can see, it hasn’t pic.twitter.com/cJCREwIHCb
