On January 30, the YouTube channel “Channel 15ya” aired the EXO episode of “Chattering with Na.” During the episode, D.O. shared a behind-the-scenes anecdote about Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah’s wedding that overlapped with a major event for the group.
When the topic of starting a restaurant came up, D.O. firmly stated, “I can’t do the restaurant business. It’s too tough.” Fellow member Suho chimed in, saying, “I tried but realized it’s not easy.” Sehun added, “That’s why he went to one of his favorite restaurants and did the dishes there.” D.O. explained, “I went because I wanted to start from dishwashing. But in the end, I gave up on the idea and just got a cooking license. It’s purely a hobby.”
Talk turned to how busy EXO was at the end of the year, prompting producer Na Young Seok to point out, “You had a meaningful but hectic year-end. In the midst of that, you also attended a wedding, right?” referring to the wedding of Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah, which coincided with the Melon Music Awards (MMA) where EXO performed.
D.O. revealed that he initially thought he wouldn’t be able to attend. “I planned to go while Woo Bin was preparing, but due to delays, I gave up on the idea. Then I realized there was a window of time between the red carpet and the main stage — just enough time to go and come back. So I went.”
Na joked, “So you were there for like ten minutes?” D.O. confessed, “If I hadn’t gone, it would’ve weighed on me for the rest of my life.”
