NMIXX’s Lily recently held a livestream titled LILY’s Lost The Plot #23: Wuthering Heights , where she chatted with fans for over two hours. During the broadcast, she shared her thoughts on the classic novel Wuthering Heights , expressing appreciation for the growing inclusion of people of color in interpretations of classic English literature.
As the conversation continued, Lily shifted to a more personal topic, speaking openly about people who actively follow and engage with content they claim to hate.
“Hate and love are on the same scale, just on different sides of the spectrum,” Lily said. “That’s why I can never understand people who keep up with the news of people they hate, or actively seek out things they dislike.”
She continued by questioning the logic behind such behavior, adding, “If you hate an artist that much, why are you streaming them? Why are you listening to their music?” Lily explained that while encountering disliked content in daily life can be unavoidable, deliberately consuming it makes little sense to her.
“If I dislike something, I actively try to avoid it,” she said. “Why would I want to listen to something I don’t even like?”

Following the broadcast, many netizens praised Lily for speaking honestly and confidently about the issue, applauding her for addressing negativity in a calm and mature manner. Fans expressed appreciation for her ability to articulate thoughts that many idols often avoid discussing publicly.
Lily’s honest remarks once again showed why many fans admire her, not just for her talent, but for her thoughtful and mature perspective as well.
