In the early hours of April 6, SM Entertainment released an official statement saying, “An incident occurred during the SUPER JUNIOR 20th Anniversary TOUR ‘SUPER SHOW 10’ SJ – CORE in SEOUL concert held on April 5.”

The accident happened during the final song of the encore stage. While performing near the extended stage, member Ryeowook reached out to greet fans. At that moment, some audience members stretched their hands beyond the barrier, and the temporary safety fence installed near the seating area gave way, causing several people to fall.
As a result, three audience members fell and sustained injuries. They were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Medical staff reported that the victims suffered sprains and bruises and would require approximately two weeks of rest and recovery.

Ryeowook, who witnessed the accident firsthand, appeared visibly shocked, reportedly holding his head in distress. It was later said that he was unable to participate in the ending stage. Footage from the scene captured the alarming moment, leaving many viewers concerned.

SM Entertainment stated, “We sincerely apologize to those who were affected and their families,” adding, “We will provide full support for the injured and do our utmost to ensure their complete recovery.” The agency also emphasized its responsibility as the concert organizer and promised to strengthen safety inspections and audience management to prevent similar incidents in the future.
However, criticism has emerged regarding the fact that the structure involved was reportedly a temporary installation rather than an official safety barrier. There are also concerns that proper on-site personnel were not adequately deployed to manage the situation, raising questions about overall safety protocols at the event.
