He was sentenced to eight months in prison.
In 2023, during Taiwan’s #MeToo movement, a woman came forward to accuse entertainer Mickey Huang of sexually harassing her when she was a teenager.

Huang posted an apology to the woman over his “inappropriate actions,” and ultimately was not charged with the allegations. However, just after, another shocking revelation led to Huang facing actual charges.
The police found over 100 videos involving naked young girls and women on Mickey’s hard drive. They also discovered that he had been buying them from a hidden cam online community, known as “Creative Private Room,” also referred to as “Taiwan’s Nth Room.”

According to reports, Mickey first registered for the community on February 12, 2013, and purchased videos from August 8, 2017, to July 8, 2023. As Mickey admitted to #MeToo allegations and attempted suicide in late June 2023, this means he was still purchasing such videos just days after.
In the initial trial in December 2024, Mickey was found to have 2,259 sexually explicit videos involving at least 35 minors aged between 10 and 17.

Huang was charged with contravening the Child and Youth Sexual Exploitation Prevention Act and sentenced to eight months in prison, along with a fine of NT$100,000 (around 3,248 USD). He has since settled with some of the identified victims, as the case has been appealed to the High Court of Taiwan.
In his latest court appearance, Huang pleaded for leniency, claiming that he was making amends through the settlements, despite now needing to pay alimony following his divorce. He also claimed not to “understand” the law, but understood the pain of the victims.
