On March 7, a new video titled “Chatting While Doing Single’s Inferno Sunburn Makeup | Are We Getting Too Close Like This..?” was uploaded to Kim Go Eun’s YouTube channel “goni goeun.”
In the video, Kim Go Eun recreated the makeup look she wore on Single’s Inferno 5 while chatting casually with viewers about various topics.
During the makeup session, she mentioned that many people had asked whether she had undergone facial contouring surgery. “A lot of people asked if I had jaw contouring,” she said, referring to the speculation surrounding her appearance.
She clarified the rumors by explaining that her jawline is naturally small due to genetics. “My jaw is originally small genetically. Everyone on my mother’s side of the family has a similar jawline,” she said.
Kim Go Eun also admitted that the feature has actually been a personal insecurity. “That’s why it’s a bit of a complex for me. The area under the corners of my mouth sinks in a lot and creates a shadow, so I use makeup to enhance it,” she explained. She added that she previously used highlighter to make the area appear fuller.
She continued by sharing that some dermatologists had suggested fillers for that part of her face, but she chose not to undergo any procedures. “Some doctors recommended fillers in this area when I visited dermatology clinics, but I decided to just cover it with makeup instead,” she said. “I never expected people would say I had jaw shaving surgery,” she added.
Kim Go Eun also noted that she has often been told she has a slim face, but hearing accusations of “jaw shaving” was new to her. She explained that the rumors may have started because she had lost a noticeable amount of weight at the time, which made her face appear even slimmer.
