Seventeen has officially renewed their contracts with PLEDIS Entertainment, promising fans they will “continue to sail in the same boat and move forward together” as all 13 members enter their next chapter as one team.
The announcement came at the finale of their “SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] ENCORE” shows held at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, where the group wrapped up a seven‑month run of concerts around the world.
During the final night, leader S.Coups addressed fans and revealed that all members had agreed to renew their contracts with HYBE’s label PLEDIS Entertainment, according to Inquirer.
He explained that the decision followed many “deep conversations” among the members and said they chose to “row together in the same boat and move forward,” a message that drew loud cheers from the crowd.
This marks Seventeen’s second full‑group contract renewal, following their first early extension with PLEDIS in 2021, when all 13 members also decided to stay with the company before their original contracts expired.
At that time, both the group and the agency stressed mutual trust, saying they wanted to keep working together to deliver strong music and performances as “one team.”
The new renewal strengthens Seventeen’s reputation as one of the few large K‑pop groups to maintain their full lineup through multiple contract cycles, with no member departures announced.
Following the encore shows, PLEDIS and Korean media reported that the group plans to continue activities after a short break, with members expected to balance group work with solo and unit projects, SBS Star reported.
Seventeen have repeatedly told fans, known as CARATs, that they aim to get “as close to eternity as possible” as a 13‑member act, and the renewed contracts are being seen as a concrete step toward that promise.
The group also thanked fans at the concert, asking them to wait for their return as a full team once ongoing individual schedules are completed.
Industry observers note that it is rare for a group of Seventeen’s size to secure a second renewal without line‑up changes, highlighting the members’ long‑standing teamwork and their relationship with PLEDIS. As they “sail together” into this new phase, expectations are high for future releases and tours that will continue the momentum of their latest world tour, as per Chosun.
