It has already been six years since actress the late Go Soo Jung left us.
February 7, 2026 marks the sixth anniversary of actress Go Soo Jung’s passing. Battling a brain tumor, she passed away on February 7, 2020, at the young age of 24.
Go Soo Jung began her acting career in 2016 with tvN’s Goblin, where she appeared as one of the ghosts surrounding Ji Eun Tak (played by Kim Go Eun), leaving a strong impression. Despite being a newcomer, her stable acting skills and unique presence showed her potential as a scene-stealer.
Later, she portrayed a student grieving the death of a friend in JTBC’s Solomon’s Perjury, delivering a delicate emotional performance, and in 2017, she gained attention by appearing in BTS’s Seoul promotional song “With Seoul” music video.
Although she continued her career fueled by extraordinary passion for acting, she ultimately could not overcome the brain tumor and became a star in the sky. After her passing, her agency said, “Actress Go Soo Jung was a radiant person with a heart purer and kinder than anyone else. We will remember her forever as someone who brightened the world with her luminous smile.”
The entertainment industry plunged into deep sorrow after losing Go Soo Jung. Kim Yoon Jin mourned, “Our beautiful hoobae… now flying in the sky, Rest in Peace.” Actor Kim Yeon Joon expressed, “My beloved Soo Jung, you were a source of strength to me simply by existing, which makes your absence feel so great. You were my brave and strong little sister. I will live as your friend and older sister forever. Don’t hurt anymore, and rest comfortably.”
