On February 23, a production press conference for “Siren’s Kiss” was held via TVING and Naver TV. In attendance were Park Min Young, who plays Han Seol Ah, the chief auctioneer at Royal Auction; her co-stars portraying an insurance fraud investigator and an IT company CEO; as well as the drama’s director.
“Siren’s Kiss” tells the story of a woman suspected of insurance fraud whose irresistible charm draws people in, and a man who begins to suspect her involvement in the deaths surrounding her, leading him to dig deeper into the truth.
Speaking about her character Han Seol Ah, Park Min Young revealed, “In the drama, my character doesn’t eat. Because so many tragic events happen around her, she survives on water and alcohol even at home.”
She continued, “She is extremely lonely when she’s alone and also suffers from panic disorder. I felt like I shouldn’t gain weight for this role. While filming this project, I fasted and drank 3 liters of water a day.”
Park Min Young added that she has since returned to her usual self. “Now I’m back to the original me. I thought keeping myself emotionally darker suited the character well. I really transformed into a dark version of myself,” she confessed.
She also expressed gratitude toward the production team and cast. “I was thankful to the director for casting actors who genuinely immerse themselves in their roles. The atmosphere on set was really good,” she said. “It’s warm and friendly, but once filming starts, everyone focuses immediately. It feels like we all switch into character within three seconds.”
Meanwhile, “Siren’s Kiss” is scheduled to premiere on March 2 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
