As Jo Se Ho prepares to return to variety shows less than a month after stepping down from tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, the controversy surrounding his alleged links to organized crime has flared up once again. The netizen who initially raised the so-called “gang connection” claims has now issued a new and more aggressive warning, drawing renewed attention to the case.
The individual, referred to as Netizen A, who first alleged that Jo Se Ho had ties to an organized crime figure, recently posted on social media questioning the timing of the comedian’s comeback. In the post, A wrote, “Jo Se Ho is making a comeback already?” and added that since the alleged gangster acquaintance has reportedly fled overseas, making investigation difficult, Jo Se Ho’s return feels suspicious. A went on to threaten, “Then I will also release a video filmed with his wife at that person’s house.”

In another post, A escalated the rhetoric further, claiming, “I told him to lie low quietly and come back later does he want to take this head-on with me now?” A argued that the relationship could not be dismissed as a “casual acquaintance,” alleging that Jo Se Ho introduced his wife to the individual before marriage and drank together at that person’s home. These statements were accompanied by hints of additional revelations to come.
The controversy first erupted when photos surfaced showing Jo Se Ho with a key figure suspected of running illegal gambling sites and laundering money. Online posts claimed that Jo Se Ho received expensive gifts from the individual and even promoted a franchise business linked to him.

Jo Se Ho responded by firmly denying any wrongdoing, stating that the person in question was merely an acquaintance and that allegations of illegal activity or financial exchanges were completely false. However, as public criticism intensified, he stepped down from his regular appearances on programs such as You Quiz on the Block and KBS2’s 2 Days & 1 Night Season 4, announcing a temporary halt to his activities.
Roughly three weeks later, news emerged that Jo Se Ho would be joining Netflix’s variety show Screwballs Season 4, effectively confirming his return to entertainment. The production team stated that the new season was in preparation and that Jo Se Ho would participate as planned.

Following this comeback announcement, Netizen A’s social media posts have reignited debate. In particular, the threat to release a video allegedly involving Jo Se Ho’s wife has raised concerns among some observers about potential privacy violations and intimidation.
As of now, Jo Se Ho’s side has not issued a new statement regarding the latest threats. Previously, he acknowledged that the photos had caused disappointment but reiterated that the allegations were untrue and that he would address the matter through legal channels, signaling a firm response to what he views as unfounded claims.
