On the December 21 episode of SBS’s Running Man , the cast took part in a race titled “Reach for Your Christmas Gift,” featuring various unique Christmas presents. The concept required each member to identify and retrieve their own gift in order to avoid a penalty.
Before filming, each cast member had prepared a gift for someone else. Once the rules were explained, a pile of gift boxes was revealed. The producers warned that those who guessed incorrectly would be penalized—and some might not receive a gift at all.
Haha reacted furiously, saying, “How is this a Christmas celebration?” Meanwhile, Yoo Jae Suk expressed concern, adding, “It’s not just any gift. Didn’t they say something like ‘a gift you don’t need’? That condition feels shady.”
As the members began opening gifts one by one, they paused at a set of vintage-style drinking glasses—museum-themed souvenirs. Trying to deduce who it was for, Kim Jong Kook speculated, “It could be for Ji Hyo, since she enjoys drinking. Or maybe it’s meant for me, as a couple set. Maybe it’s to get me drunk and make a move,” humorously embracing his “newlywed” image.
Then came the shocker—a massive gift box was opened, revealing a pair of leopard print underwear. The members groaned in disbelief. Yoo Jae Suk said bluntly, “Forget the price—this is just offensive.” The rest of the cast quickly piled on the criticism, laughing at the ridiculousness of the gift.
Yoo Jae Suk theorized, “This looks like something they had lying around and just re-gifted.” Yang Se Chan added, “What if someone tried it on, then repackaged it?” making everyone cringe.
Holding up the underwear, the cast exclaimed, “Who would wear something this outrageous? It’s huge too!” However, Kim Jong Kook grinned and claimed it: “I think those leopard undies are for me. I’m married now, maybe they want me to set the mood and have a baby.”
Yoo Jae Suk retorted sarcastically, “You think that’ll set the mood?” sending the room into fits of laughter.
