A user on Threads shared a post claiming they had seen two Korean women in London, one of whom strongly resembled Minji. According to the post, the woman was wearing a black beanie and a black leather jacket, and her facial features particularly her eyes and mouth appeared strikingly similar to the idol’s. However, the individual admitted they were standing too far away to confirm whether it was truly her.
The user added that they had never encountered a celebrity by chance before and would feel incredibly lucky if it had indeed been Minji. They also recalled hearing someone beside her being called “Kim,” similar to Minji’s full name, Kim Minji. Despite the detailed description, the accompanying photo was blurred due to motion, making it impossible to verify the identities of the two women. As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding the sighting.
The timing of the rumor has intensified speculation, given Minji’s current situation. In October 2025, ADOR under HYBE won a lawsuit confirming the validity of its exclusive contracts with all five NewJeans members. Following the court’s decision, Haerin and Hyein expressed their intention to resume activities with the company, and Hanni later became the third member accepted back by ADOR.

Meanwhile, Danielle reportedly received notice of contract termination and is facing a lawsuit seeking 43 billion won in damages. Minji, however, remains in discussions with ADOR about whether she will officially rejoin group activities. More than three months have passed since the legal ruling, and the lack of a finalized agreement has fueled anxiety among fans.
Adding another layer to the speculation are rumors that Minji may choose not to return to ADOR, instead joining a new company founded by former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. Often referred to as the “mother of NewJeans,” Min Hee Jin stepped down from her internal director position at ADOR in November 2024 and left HYBE. In October 2025, reports emerged that she had established a new company called OOAK, covering artist management, music production and distribution, as well as event planning and performances.

Recently, Min Hee Jin also won a separate legal battle against HYBE concerning a stock transaction payment, with the court ordering HYBE to pay her approximately 25.5 billion won. Her legal victory and expansion into a new venture have further fueled hopes among some fans that Minji could reunite with her former producer.
Against this backdrop, news of a possible London sighting has only amplified the conversation. Some believe Minji may be preparing for independent activities unrelated to ADOR, while others caution that the rumors remain unverified. Until official statements are made, the speculation surrounding Minji’s next move continues to captivate the fandom.
