Shockwaves are spreading across the entertainment industry after it was revealed that Nana, actress and member of After School, was injured during a violent home invasion. The incident has intensified concerns as multiple celebrities have recently become victims of intrusions into their private residences.
On November 15, the Guri Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced the arrest of a man in his 30s on charges of attempted aggravated robbery. According to police, the suspect broke into Nana’s home in Acheon-dong around 6 a.m., armed with a weapon, and demanded money while threatening both Nana and her mother.
Nana’s agency, Sublime, confirmed the severity of the situation, stating, “*During the physical attack by the assailant, Nana’s mother suffered a critical injury and lost consciousness. Nana herself was also hurt while trying to escape the crisis. At present, both individuals are in need of medical treatment and complete rest.*” The agency added that details cannot be disclosed as the investigation is ongoing but promised to provide full support for Nana and her family.

This is not the first case in recent months involving celebrity homes being targeted. Earlier, comedian Park Na Rae suffered a major theft at her residence in Yongsan, Seoul, where valuables worth tens of millions of won were stolen. With no signs of forced entry, speculations quickly arose that the culprit might be someone within her circle, leading to uncomfortable rumors involving celebrity friends like Han Hye Jin and Jang Do Yeon.
However, police later confirmed that an outsider had committed the crime. The thief—who had a prior criminal record—sold the stolen items as illicit goods. Park Na Rae later reassured fans through her YouTube channel, saying she had recovered “all the stolen items without a single scratch.”

Meanwhile, BTS’s Jungkook dealt with a disturbing incident in August when a woman in her 40s trespassed into the parking lot of his home. Jungkook caught the intruder on CCTV and immediately reported her. He later recounted on a live broadcast, “I was watching everything on CCTV. When she heard the police arriving, she tried to open the door to the underground parking lot—only to find the police waiting right in front of her.” He added that the woman claimed to be his friend, prompting him to respond firmly: “ARMYs are family and friends in a way, but this isn’t it. I have all the evidence. Everything is recorded here. If you want to get dragged away, come.”

Actor couple Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung also experienced a burglary at their home in Los Angeles. According to U.S. outlet TMZ, thieves shattered a glass door to enter the property. Lee Byung Hun was not home at the time, and the break-in is believed to be part of a series of burglaries targeting wealthy neighborhoods in the area. Lee Byung Hun’s agency BH Entertainment noted that no significant property damage occurred.
With incidents accumulating at an alarming rate—from South Korea to the United States—celebrities and fans alike are growing increasingly anxious. The surge in break-ins underscores rising concerns over safety, privacy, and the lengths to which offenders will go to target public figures.
