Fans are increasingly curious about the current lives of actresses who have largely stepped away from the entertainment industry after getting married.

Representative examples include Min Hyo-rin, Park Su-jin, and Park Ye-jin, all born in the 1980s. These actresses were once widely loved, appearing in dramas, films, and variety shows. However, after starting their own families, their public appearances have become rare.
Min Hyo-rin
Min Hyo-rin, who made a strong impression in the 2011 film Sunny, maintained a steady presence across films, dramas, and variety shows after her debut.
After marrying BigBang’s Taeyang in 2018, her activity gradually slowed, with the 2019 film Race to Freedom: Um Bok-dong marking her last project. Since giving birth to her son in 2021, she has not officially returned to broadcasting. Although the Sunny cast reunited recently on MBC’s variety show I’m Sunny, Thank You, Min Hyo-rin did not attend.
Photos from her attendance at fellow celebrities Cush and Vivien’s wedding last month circulated online, where she shared a message asking fans to support her life as a mother, showing her focus remains on family and parenting.
Park Soo-jin
Park Soo-jin, formerly a member of the girl group Sugar, married actor Bae Yong-joon in 2015 and became a mother of two. She gained popularity for her visuals and variety show appearances, but in 2017, she faced controversy over preferential treatment allegations at Samsung Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit, leading her to effectively halt her entertainment career.

She has since maintained a low profile, currently reported to be residing in Hawaii, with no announcements regarding a potential comeback.
Park Ye-jin
Park Ye-jin, who debuted in Whispering Corridors 2 and became a fan favorite through the variety show Family Outing, married actor Park Hee-soon in 2015. She continued to appear in projects occasionally but has not participated in any drama or film since 2020’s Soul Mechanic and Josee.

An industry insider commented on the ‘retirement’ speculation, stating, “It’s difficult to call it official retirement. They are simply focused on family at the moment. There is always the possibility that they may return to acting in the future.”

All three actresses, once active in dramas, films, and variety shows, have earned the label of “stars who disappeared after marriage.” Some observers point out that long breaks, combined with a lack of standout roles or recent hits, may make a comeback more challenging.
As of now, none of the actresses have publicly announced plans to return to the entertainment industry, leaving fans curious about whether and how they might make future appearances.
