Former EXO member and top Chinese idol Luhan has become the central figure in a major controversy rocking the Chinese entertainment industry after influencer Tu Xiaodi (online alias iamroosie) made explosive claims during a late-night livestream on January 3.
During the broadcast, Tu Xiaodi alleged that she had been involved with multiple male celebrities over the past decade. However, public attention quickly narrowed to Luhan after she uploaded a private bedroom photo allegedly showing the singer asleep.

According to Tu Xiaodi, the photo was taken when Luhan was intoxicated and fell asleep at her home. She claimed that the image was kept “as a memory” and emphasized that no sexual relationship occurred between them.
The photo immediately triggered widespread speculation. Netizens began closely examining details such as clothing, tattoos, and interior furnishings, claiming they matched items Luhan had previously shared publicly. As a result, many online users dismissed claims that the image was AI-generated, further fueling the controversy.

In response, Luhan Studio issued two official statements in the early hours of January 3, firmly denying the rumors and announcing immediate legal action.
According to the studio:
- Lawyers have been authorized to collect and preserve evidence related to defamatory content
- Legal proceedings have officially begun against individuals and platforms spreading false information
- Any continued fabrication, speculation, or rumor-mongering will result in full legal responsibility under Chinese law
The studio stressed that it would pursue accountability without compromise, warning netizens against participating in rumor dissemination or personal speculation.

The incident has been labeled by netizens as the first major C-biz “earthquake” of 2026, with Luhan’s name dominating online discussions. While some users claim disappointment, others urge restraint, emphasizing that unverified allegations should not be treated as fact, especially amid ongoing legal action.
Several entertainment commentators have also noted that Chinese defamation laws are increasingly strict, and online speculation involving celebrities’ private lives can carry serious consequences.
