The opening ceremony of the 2026 Milan–Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics was held on February 7 (Korean time) at San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy. Among the standout moments of the event was an appearance by Italian supermodel Vittoria Ceretti (27), who entered the stadium carrying the Italian national flag ahead of the host nation’s anthem.
Ceretti, who is Italian, took part in a runway-style tribute performance honoring legendary Milanese fashion designer Giorgio Armani, who passed away in September last year. The performance blended fashion and ceremony, turning the Olympic stage into a symbolic runway.
Models dressed in Armani suits in red, white, and green the colors of the Italian flag walked in formation, while Ceretti appeared among them in an elegant white dress. Moving with the poise of a runway show, she walked between the models before ceremonially handing the Italian flag to the honor guard of the Italian National Gendarmerie, creating one of the most visually striking moments of the night.
