Actress Lee Yo Won has firmly denied long-running rumors that she was pregnant before marriage, finally setting the record straight during her appearance on tvN STORY’s variety show What’s Worth Leaving Behind.
In the episode aired on January 7, Lee Yo Won appeared as a guest and spoke candidly about her personal life. She revealed that she married at the age of 23 and is now the mother of three children two daughters and one son. Addressing her early marriage, she explained, “I did have my first child quickly. I got pregnant about a month after getting married.” She then clarified to avoid misunderstanding, saying, “I didn’t give birth a month later. I got married in January and gave birth in December.”

Lee Yo Won admitted that she has often faced speculation about a premarital pregnancy. She shared an anecdote involving her eldest daughter, saying, “Even my oldest child told me that her friends asked if she was born because of an ‘accident.’” The actress made it clear that such assumptions were completely untrue.
She also gave an update on her eldest daughter’s current life, revealing that she is now attending university in the United States. Lee added with a laugh, “She’s studying in the U.S. because she couldn’t go to college in Korea. She doesn’t have a boyfriend she’s not the type who can live with someone.”

Lee Yo Won married a former professional golfer turned businessman in 2003. Despite marrying young, she has continued a successful acting career while raising her family largely away from the spotlight. Through this appearance, she once again demonstrated her straightforward and composed approach to addressing personal rumors, earning understanding and support from viewers.
