Actress Lee Si-young is sharing an emotional update on her newborn daughter, born prematurely at just 1.9kg, and now reaching a healthier weight of 3kg.

On December 6, the actress posted a series of heartwarming photos on her social media, showing tender moments with her daughter, affectionately nicknamed “Ssikssik.” In one photo, Lee gently feeds her daughter with a bottle, while in another, she lovingly bathes the baby herself.

“Our brave little one who came to us at 1.9kg has finally reached 3kg. Thank you, baby,” she wrote, adding with affection, “Is it normal for second-borns to be this calm? She barely cries and always smiles.”

Lee Si-young’s road to motherhood has been anything but conventional. After divorcing her husband in March 2025, following eight years of marriage, she has been raising her first son alone. In July, she shocked the public by announcing she was pregnant with her second child—conceived through embryo transfer without the consent of her ex-husband using a previously frozen embryo.
On November 4, she gave birth to her daughter through an emergency cesarean section following a sudden hemorrhage. The baby was classified as premature, and Lee openly shared her hospital bill totaled over ₩8.99 million (~$6,800 USD), pointing out that placenta previa complications are not covered by standard maternal or fetal insurance in Korea.
The photos and her message reflect not only her pride as a mother, but also her emotional strength through a uniquely difficult journey. Fans and fellow mothers flooded the comments with messages of support and admiration.
Despite facing personal and medical hardships, Lee Si-young remains a symbol of resilience, openly documenting her motherhood experience and empowering others through her honesty.
