Actor Lee Jong-suk celebrated the completion of filming for Disney+ original series The Remarriage Empress by gifting all staff members with luxury hotel meal vouchers and a heartfelt letter.

The actor’s message, shared widely on online communities, read: “Thank you to all the staff and cast of The Remarriage Empress for your hard work. What seemed like a never-ending production has safely concluded! Personally, each scene felt especially challenging, but thanks to everyone’s dedication, we managed to complete the project successfully. I am sincerely grateful.”
He continued, “Having spent two seasons together—supporting and being supported—I wanted to show my appreciation by treating everyone to a meal. I hope my feelings are conveyed. Truly, you all worked hard and did well. It was an honor to meet you.”

The Remarriage Empress, adapted from the globally popular Naver Webtoon with over 2.6 billion cumulative views as of December 2024, is a romantic fantasy epic. The story follows Empress Nabi of the Dongdae Empire, who, after being divorced by Emperor Sovieshu, requests marriage approval with Prince Heinley of the Western Kingdom, sparking a grand romance saga.
In the series, Lee Jong-suk plays Prince Heinley, the secretive heir to the Western Kingdom.
