LE SSERAFIM member Kazuha opened up about her dreamy expectations of Korea, influenced heavily by her love for K-dramas, during her guest appearance on the November 11 episode of Salon Drip on the YouTube channel TEO. The episode, titled “It’s November 11. Make a Wish,” also featured fellow group member Huh Yunjin.
Kazuha shared candidly, “I always loved K-dramas and K-pop, so I had a romanticized image of Korea. I thought something like a Korean drama would happen to me something romantic, like suddenly being swept up in a ‘shalala’ moment while walking down the street.”
She revealed that the first K-drama she ever watched was Descendants of the Sun, and that stars like Song Hye Kyo and Kim Ji Won left a lasting impression. “I thought Korea would be just like the drama. I thought people really talked like that. That’s when I also got into K-pop and fell in love with BLACKPINK,” she said.

Fellow member Huh Yunjin also shared her pre-debut struggles, stating, “I trained for four years, going through four different potential debut teams, but things never worked out. I finally decided to go back to the U.S. and live intensely for two months. I received a scholarship and paid tuition for my dream school.”
However, fate had other plans. “The very next day, the company called me. I tried to act cool at first and said no, but in my heart, I had already made up my mind. I believed that getting that call after paying tuition meant something. I quickly changed my mind,” she recalled.
Their stories highlighted not only the global allure of Korean pop culture but also the intense commitment and sacrifices behind their debut journeys. As LE SSERAFIM continues to rise, moments like these remind fans of the very human dreams and emotions behind the polished performances.
