Kim Sun Jin, a first-generation makeup artist and widow of the late actor Jo Min Ki, has shared joyful news with fans: her daughter is getting married. On November 24, Kim took to Instagram to post elegant wedding photos of her daughter, officially announcing the upcoming nuptials.
In the shared images, Kim’s daughter radiates beauty in a pristine white wedding gown, embracing her handsome fiancé with a loving smile. The touching scene captured the hearts of many, showing a rare glimpse into the personal life of the esteemed family.
Alongside the photos, Kim wrote, “So this day has come. May your love be beautiful, so very beautiful, and last forever. Congratulations, my love. #WeddingShoot #Boston #Happiness.”
TV personality Ahn Sun Young responded with a congratulatory comment, “Oh my, this little one is getting married already! Please save me an invitation, sis.”
Kim Sun Jin and her daughter previously appeared on the 2015 SBS family reality show Take Care of My Dad during Jo Min Ki’s lifetime. The daughter, once known for her quiet presence on the show, later drew attention for her academic achievements graduating early with honors in chemical engineering from the prestigious Illinois Institute of Technology, and subsequently being accepted into Princeton University’s graduate program in 2018.
With a 37-year career in the beauty industry, Kim Sun Jin has remained active, most recently gaining renewed public interest by participating in the OTT variety show Just Makeup on Coupang Play.
She married Jo Min Ki in 1992, and the couple had two children. Jo Min Ki passed away on March 9, 2018.
