Scheduled to air in the second half of 2026, 100 Days of Lies is a spy romance set during the Japanese colonial era. The drama tells the story of a legendary pickpocket who infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea disguised as an interpreter trainee and becomes entangled in a dangerous love story with the adopted son of the Government-General’s political chief.
Kim Yoo Jung takes on the role of Lee Ga Kyung, the best pickpocket in Gyeongseong who goes undercover as an interpreter trainee for 100 days. Determined to earn money and move to the United States, her life takes a dramatic turn when she accepts an irresistible offer from an independence organization and infiltrates the colonial government as a spy.

Kim Yoo Jung shared her thoughts about joining the project, saying, “I feel honored to be part of such a meaningful project. I hope it becomes a warm story that comforts viewers and encourages people to reflect on history and life.”
Park Jin-young will portray Kim Tae Woong, also known as Sato Hideo, the adopted son of the political chief and an elite interpreter of the Japanese Government-General. Fluent in English, Japanese, and Korean — a rare skill at the time — he returns to Joseon after more than a decade and takes on an important mission as a government interpreter during a politically turbulent period.
Park Jinyoung said about the role, “Because the drama is set during such a painful period in history, I’m approaching the filming with great care and sincerity. I will do my best to deliver a meaningful project until the end.”

The drama also boasts a powerful supporting cast. Kim Hyun Joo will play Yoo So Ran, a sniper for an anti-Japanese resistance group seeking revenge. Lee Moo Saeng appears as Yoo Philip, a Korean-American journalist and member of the resistance who uses his position as a foreign correspondent to influence political affairs. Jin Sun Kyu plays Sato Shinichi, the ambitious political chief of the Government-General and the primary target of the independence group.
With its blend of historical tension, espionage, and romance, 100 Days of Lies is expected to deliver a gripping story about love, betrayal, and the hope for independence.
The drama is currently scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2026.
