Actor Kim Seon-ho is set to return to the small screen with a new tvN drama, officially confirming his role in ‘May the Congressman Protect You’, which is scheduled to begin filming next week.
According to reports on April 3, the drama has finalized its main cast lineup, including Kim Yoon-seok, Ahn Eun-jin, and Ryu Kyung-soo, and recently completed its first script reading. The project is already drawing attention for its unique storyline and star-studded cast.
Based on a popular web novel, ‘May the Congressman Protect You’ tells the story of a powerful six-term lawmaker, Gu Young-jin (Kim Yoon-seok), who dies in 2008 and returns as a ghost, awakening in 1998—ten years earlier. There, he crosses paths with Cha Jae-rim (Kim Seon-ho), a low-ranking civil servant who possesses the ability to see ghosts. The two form an unlikely partnership, navigating the political world while attempting to rewrite the past.

Kim Seon-ho will portray Cha Jae-rim, a 9th-grade civil servant who rises rapidly in politics after encountering the ghost of Gu Young-jin. The drama is expected to explore a mix of fantasy and political intrigue, as the characters confront both supernatural elements and real-world power struggles.
Meanwhile, Ahn Eun-jin will make a special appearance as Gu Seung-hee, the daughter of Gu Young-jin, adding emotional depth to the storyline.

The series will be directed by Park Shin-woo, known for hits such as It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and Encounter, while the script is penned by Kwon Jong-kwan, raising expectations for a high-quality production.
With its intriguing premise, experienced creative team, and strong cast, ‘May the Congressman Protect You’ is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Korean dramas in the upcoming lineup.
