In the episode released on March 10 on the YouTube channel Salon Drip, Park Jinyoung and Kim Minju appeared as guests to promote their drama Still Shining.

While talking about Still Shining, which revolves around a first love romance, the two actors naturally began sharing stories from their own school days.
Park Jinyoung first reflected on his younger self, describing his dating style at the time. “When I was younger, I was completely clueless,” he admitted. “The girl I liked said she liked lollipops, so every morning I would buy one and give it to her when we went to school.” Hearing this, host Jang Do Yeon and Kim Minju burst into laughter, calling the story “cute.”

Kim Minju also shared a sweet memory from her own school days. “When I was in my first or second year of middle school, there was a boy I liked,” she recalled. “He was good at studying and also very good at basketball.”
However, because she felt shy, she could never bring herself to approach him directly. Kim Minju explained, “Every lunch break he would play basketball, but I was too embarrassed to stand in front and watch. So instead of eating lunch at the cafeteria, I bought bread from the school store and ate it while looking down at the playground.” She added, “I would watch him playing basketball while eating my bread.”

She even worked hard on her studies because of him. “Our classes were divided into A, B, and C depending on grades, and he was in the A class,” she said. “So I remember trying really hard in math because I wanted to move up to the A class.”
Host Jang Do Yeon then asked, “So does he still not know that you liked him back then?” Kim Minju shyly replied, “I don’t think he knows.”

Park Jinyoung joked, “There’s no way he could know,” while pretending to secretly watch someone from afar. Jang Do Yeon also mimicked the act of eating bread while secretly looking at someone, which filled the studio with laughter.
Jang Do Yeon commented, “How nice would it be if that person knew someone looked at him so lovingly like that.” Kim Minju reflected, “At the time it felt a bit painful, but when I think about it now, it was such a pure and innocent memory.”

Their stories about first love during their school days connected perfectly with the theme of their drama, bringing both laughter and relatability.
Meanwhile, Still Shining is JTBC’s new Friday drama series that tells the story of young people who share their own world and gradually become each other’s faith and guiding light in life. The drama airs at 8:50 p.m.
