Actor Kim Jung Hyun will star in the upcoming tvN drama Why You Don’t Know It’s a Girl?, slated to air in 2026.
According to reports on November 11 by Edaily, Kim Jung Hyun will appear in this romantic comedy based on a popular webtoon and web novel of the same name. The series centers on a gender-bending female character navigating office life and romance.

Kim Jung Hyun will play Kim Si Hyun, a corporate lawyer working for the legal team of Samgang Group. His character is a long-time friend and legal counsel to Yoon Yi Joon, played by Im Si Wan, who is a third-generation chaebol and the main suspect in the murder of his female secretary.
The plot also follows Kang Jae Hee (played by Seol In Ah), a former special forces agent-turned-detective known for her superior strength and combat skills, earning her the nickname “human weapon.” The series is set to mix romance and suspense as these characters become entangled in a high-profile case and workplace dynamics.

Kim Si Hyun will also share a romantic arc with Lee Hye Jung, a secretary to the chairman and colleague within the company, adding a layer of workplace rom-com charm to the suspenseful storyline.
Kim Jung Hyun made his acting debut in 2015 with the film Overman. He gained recognition through various dramas including Don’t Dare to Dream, The Rebel, School 2017, Welcome to Waikiki, The Time, Crash Landing on You, Mr. Queen, Kokdu: Season of Deity, and Iron Family. He also recently showcased his variety skills on KBS2’s Heart on Wheels, and made a special appearance in JTBC’s drama A Hundred Memories.
Fans are excited to see his return to the small screen, especially alongside Im Si Wan, as the two are expected to display strong on-screen chemistry in this fresh and exciting adaptation.
