Singer Kim Jong-kook, previously known for his untidy habits, revealed on the December 25 episode of KBS2’s Problematic Men on the Rooftop how marriage has transformed his lifestyle.

During the show, Seoul National University child and adolescent psychiatry expert Kim Bung-nyeon discussed ADHD symptoms and organizational habits. Guest Hong Jin-kyung asked whether difficulty with tidying up could be related, to which the expert explained that everyone has their own method of organizing. Co-host Joo Woo-jae then brought up Kim Jong-kook as an example, noting that while he used to pile clothes chaotically, his wife’s influence has encouraged him to adopt a more orderly lifestyle.

Previously, on SBS’s Running Man in February, a special segment “SOS Extreme Cleaning Zone” showcased Kim Jong-kook’s chaotic home, with co-host Yoo Jae-suk exclaiming, “He lived with trash! We had to help.”
Reflecting on the change, Kim Jong-kook said, “I lived by my own rules, but now I have a structured home. I hang my clothes neatly, align everything, and vacuum daily. My home has become organized, and I live according to that system.” Psychiatrist Kim Bung-nyeon noted that Kim Jong-kook likely disliked interference before, but his love for his wife motivated the positive changes.

Kim Jong-kook married a non-celebrity in September 2025, and the couple now resides in a newly purchased 6.2 billion KRW home, which has helped reinforce his new habits.
Marriage has not only strengthened Kim Jong-kook’s personal life but also positively influenced his daily routines, turning him into a model of tidiness and home care.
