Actor Jung Il Woo has unveiled a breathtaking new pictorial with high-end lifestyle magazine The Neighbor, quickly earning praise for what fans are calling his most legendary hanbok visuals to date. The January issue, which opens 2026, highlights Jung Il Woo modeling a range of hanbok designs by various designers, blending timeless Korean aesthetics with refined modern charisma.

Debuting in 2006 through the hit sitcom High Kick! as Lee Yoon Ho, Jung Il Woo marks his 20th anniversary as an actor this year. The pictorial holds special meaning, as his mother, Professor Shim Yeon Ok formerly a faculty member at the Korea National University of Cultural Heritage participated as a hanbok styling advisor, adding a deeply personal and cultural layer to the shoot.
In the interview following the photoshoot, Jung Il Woo shared that despite his extensive experience starring in historical dramas, this was his first-ever hanbok pictorial. He expressed that being able to greet audiences in traditional attire outside of a drama setting made the start of the year feel particularly meaningful.

Currently appearing in the KBS drama Our Golden Days, Jung Il Woo also spoke about how he manages his health during long-term productions. He explained that lengthy dramas demand heightened concentration, which is why he maintains a routine of weight training, running, and hiking. He added that spending extended time on set has helped him grow closer to fellow cast members, both professionally and personally, and shared his desire to finish the project on a strong note.
Jung Il Woo also revealed behind-the-scenes stories from his recent diverse activities, including his role as a domestic import investor for the horror film Together. Although he does not typically favor horror films, he said the project resonated with him and sparked a desire to help introduce a compelling film to audiences.

Looking ahead, Jung Il Woo hinted at an exceptionally busy year in 2026, teasing surprising new roles and a packed schedule with little rest. In celebration of his 20th debut anniversary, he also plans to meet fans across various countries, further strengthening his global connection.
