On March 5, the YouTube channel “Netflix Korea” uploaded a video titled “Rabbit-face & Fox-face Superstars with a Love-Hate Romance | We Came to Promote Boyfriend on Demand”. The video featured Jisoo and Seo In-guk, who appear together in the drama “Boyfriend on Demand”, chatting about their experiences while filming the series.
During the conversation, the host mentioned hearing that Seo In-guk had been rewarding himself with delicious food lately because winter filming had been exhausting. However, Jisoo quickly corrected the statement, saying that her co-star had actually been fasting and focusing on dieting.
Jisoo explained that Seo In-guk initially set a goal of losing about 4 kilograms. But when he recently mentioned that he had already lost 3 kilograms, she realized he had quietly shed another kilogram since they last talked. Laughing, Jisoo said this made her feel competitive because she also needed to lose weight.

“I thought, ‘He’s already lost another kilogram? He’s not an easy opponent,’” she joked, calling him her personal “diet rival.”
Seo In-guk responded by revealing that their friendly competition became noticeable during filming. He said that whenever he gained weight, Jisoo seemed more relaxed, but whenever he lost weight, she would feel a sense of urgency. Jisoo agreed with the observation, admitting that it made her feel anxious to keep up.
The actor also shared a new hobby he developed while dieting. According to him, he has recently become interested in watching “mukbang” videos content where hosts eat large amounts of food on camera. Although he initially worried it might make dieting harder, he found that it actually helped him feel satisfied indirectly.
Seo In-guk added that he doesn’t watch the calmer ASMR-style food videos but prefers more energetic mukbang content where creators eat aggressively and enthusiastically.

Jisoo revealed she has a slightly different reaction when watching the same type of videos. Instead of feeling satisfied, she said the content sometimes sparks a competitive feeling in her. While watching people eat large portions, she jokingly thinks to herself, “I could eat that much too.”
The lighthearted conversation gave fans a glimpse of the playful dynamic between the two stars while promoting their upcoming project.
The Netflix romantic comedy Boyfriend on Demand follows the story of a webtoon producer named Mi-rae who becomes exhausted by real life and turns to a virtual dating simulation, where she can subscribe to and experience romance in a fantasy-like setting.
Starring Jisoo and Seo In-guk, the drama is scheduled to premiere on March 6 on Netflix.
