At the 2025 Melon Music Awards held on December 20 at the Gocheok Sky Dome, Jennie of BLACKPINK won one of the prestigious Daesang (grand prizes) as a solo artist—marking a career-defining moment.
Taking the stage with a dynamic solo set featuring “Seoul City”, “Zen”, and “Like Jennie”, Jennie shone brightly among 50 dancers, showcasing her powerful stage presence and star power.

Jennie was the first to be announced among the four Daesang recipients of the night. She greeted fans with a humble, “Hello, this is Jennie. I just came off stage and I’m still a bit overwhelmed.”
Jennie continued, “This year has meant so much to me. I released my first album, and I’m happy to end the year on such a joyful note. Thank you to my company—your hard work means everything, and I love you. To all the staff and those who made today’s performance possible, thank you from the bottom of my heart. To the 50 dancers who performed with me—I truly appreciate you.”
But what touched fans the most was Jennie’s emotional message to her group: “And to my members, I miss you so much. It feels really lonely being alone. And to BLINK, I love you.” Her heartfelt words sparked a loud cheer from the audience, highlighting the unbreakable bond between BLACKPINK members and their fans, even in solo moments.
