After a long period of silence, Etta Ng, the daughter of martial arts legend Jackie Chan, has resurfaced this time seen living and working alone in Hong Kong and Macau. According to China Times, Etta was spotted selling handmade shirts without her partner, fueling speculation about her current relationship status and lifestyle.
Etta, who came out as lesbian in 2017, previously married Andi, a woman 12 years her senior. The couple tied the knot in Canada, where Etta also reportedly applied for asylum under provisions for LGBTQ+ individuals. Rumors of their breakup surfaced in 2020, but neither Etta nor Andi publicly addressed the speculation.

Recently, users on Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu shared photos of Etta independently selling handcrafted clothing, catching attention for her apparent solitude. Many netizens concluded that she may be living alone now, following an alleged separation.
Earlier in May this year, Etta was also seen queuing for food aid in Toronto, a sign of financial hardship. Reports from QQ revealed that her name had appeared in a North American homeless shelter registry for over 400 days. She is said to have severed ties with both her parents and officially renounced her family name.

In personal declarations to immigration authorities, Etta reportedly stated: “My mother abused me, my father never acknowledged me, and my girlfriend abandoned me.”
Born in 1999, Etta Ng is the daughter of former beauty queen Elaine Ng and Jackie Chan. However, the action superstar has never publicly acknowledged Etta as his biological daughter, while his son Jaycee Chan known for his rebellious lifestyle has received much of his attention and indulgence. This contrast has led to widespread criticism of Jackie Chan’s parenting and personal decisions over the years.
