IVE has released striking concept photos for the “CHALLENGERS” theme ahead of their second full-length album, “REVIVE+,” arriving on Feb. 23.
The six-member girl group, consisting of An Yu-jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won-young, Liz, and Lee Seo, unveiled the photos through their official social media channels on February 3. The new visuals showcase each member’s distinct personality through poster-style imagery paired with bold typography and confident messaging.
In the individual concept photos, each member appears alongside a unique phrase that highlights their charm. An Yu-jin radiates sophistication with the text “YOU KNOW, EVERYONE’S DYING TO FIND OUT,” while Gaeul delivers a confident statement saying “IT’S A LITTLE BIT OFFENSIVE, BUT FALL HAPPENS ALL YEAR ROUND.”
The images showcase the members against varied backdrops ranging from natural settings to modern architecture, emphasizing IVE’s signature visual sensibility, according to allkpop.
The group concept photos reveal a bolder transformation. Set within a rugged concrete space with striking color contrasts, the members display restrained charisma as they pose together. The visual concept hints at the direction the members will take with their upcoming album, blending elements of Western aesthetics with contemporary Y2K sensibilities.
These concept photos follow IVE’s earlier release of a “CHALLENGERS” concept film on Jan. 31. The teaser video featured the members in various settings holding everyday objects like apples and tea, creating an intriguing narrative that builds anticipation for the album’s storyline.
The concept film emphasized tension through its color tone and sound design, positioning the theme around a powerful comeback concept, Soompi reported.
Prior to the album release, IVE will share their pre-release single “BANG BANG” on Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. KST across music streaming platforms. A preview of the track’s audio and choreography was shared on TikTok on Feb. 2, highlighting a fast-paced beat with intense and aggressive performance elements. The pre-release track marks IVE’s first glimpse at their new musical direction.
The album itself will be available in 10 different physical versions, including multiple concept editions and member-specific digipacks, offering collectors a range of options. IVE has already started building momentum through a series of teaser releases, including “COMING SOON” films and “SPOILERS ALERT” content that gradually unveiled information about their comeback.
With “REVIVE+,” the group aims to expand its musical scope on the global stage. IVE continues their second world tour “SHOW WHAT I AM” internationally, with upcoming concert dates scheduled in Japan at Kyocera Dome Osaka on Apr. 18 and 19, as per chosun.
