IVE member Jang Wonyoung has purchased a luxury villa in Seoul’s prestigious Hannam-dong UN Village for 13.7 billion won (approximately $10 million) in full cash.
The property, a 244-square-meter unit in Lucid House, was bought in March, and ownership was officially registered at the end of October. There was no mortgage registered, confirming the purchase was made entirely with cash, per Allkpop.
Lucid House is one of the most exclusive residential complexes in UN Village, an elite neighborhood in Hannam-dong known for its stunning panoramic views of both the Han River and Namsan Tower.
The Lucid House complex consists of only 15 units spread across its two buildings, making the residence highly rare and sought after. The villa offers privacy features, including a 24-hour security system and individual elevators for each unit.
The property has a notable history, having previously been the home of actress Kim Tae-hee before her marriage to singer and actor Rain. The seller of the villa was Lee Ji-yong, former CEO of Daerim Commerce and a scion of the DL Group conglomerate, adding a layer of prestige to the transaction.
Jang Wonyoung, who is 21 years old, is a member of the girl group IVE, which recently released its fourth mini-album titled “IVE SECRET.” The group’s popularity continues to rise, as evidenced by their sold-out solo concerts at KSPO Dome. The purchase of this luxury villa underscores her success and growing prominence not only as an artist but also as a young individual making significant investments.
Lucid House units initially sold for over four billion won when first launched in 2007, maintaining their status as high-value properties within UN Village.
