On April 7, a preview for the YouTube show “Salon Drip” featured the lead cast of the upcoming MBC drama 21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife, including IU, Byeon Woo Seok, Noh Sang Hyun, and Gong Seung Yeon.
During the teaser, host Jang Do Yeon brought up the now-viral “wall kiss scene.” In response, Byeon Woo Seok humorously explained, “Our noses touch. And since it was hot, they were a bit moist…”
IU added with a laugh, “There were nose marks left on my cheek.”
When asked how many times they filmed the kiss scene, IU surprised everyone by saying, “I lost count—we filmed it so many times.”
Byeon Woo Seok agreed, confirming, “We really did that scene a lot.”
Their honest and playful comments have heightened anticipation for the drama, especially regarding their on-screen chemistry.
“Perfect Crown” is set in a modern constitutional monarchy and tells the story of a wealthy woman, Seong Hee Joo (IU), who is frustrated by her commoner status, and Prince Ian (Byeon Woo Seok), a royal who has nothing despite his title. The series follows their journey to challenge societal barriers and pursue love.
The drama is scheduled to premiere on April 10 at 9:40 PM KST.
