On February 28 (local time), at the 46th BRIT Awards (The BRIT Awards 2026) held at Co-op Live in Manchester, Rosé won International Song of the Year for her duet track “APT.” with Bruno Mars. The ceremony aired in Korea in the early hours of March 1.
With this achievement, Rosé became the first K-pop artist ever to win a BRIT Award. She had previously drawn attention as the first and only K-pop artist to be nominated at the BRIT Awards both as a member of BLACKPINK and as a solo artist. This latest victory marks another milestone in her career.
The BRIT Awards, established in 1977 and hosted by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), is one of the UK’s most authoritative music award ceremonies. Winners are selected through votes from a panel of over 1,000 industry professionals, including radio and TV DJs, broadcast executives, record label representatives, and journalists.
When her name was announced, Rosé took the stage visibly emotional, exclaiming, “Oh my God,” as she accepted the trophy.
“It’s such an honor and I’m so grateful to receive such an incredible award in front of so many talented and respected musicians,” she said during her speech.

She then gave a heartfelt shoutout to her collaborator, adding, “There are so many people I want to thank. First, Bruno — thank you for being my biggest mentor and my closest friend. I love you so much.”
Rosé also expressed gratitude toward her BLACKPINK members and longtime producer TEDDY, saying she wanted to share her love and appreciation with them for constantly inspiring her.
By securing this landmark win, Rosé once again proved her global impact — both as a member of BLACKPINK and as a solo artist. As she continues to expand her presence on the international stage, her historic BRIT Awards triumph signals yet another defining moment for K-pop worldwide.
