Recently, a post titled “The Actress Whose Life Was Like a Sitcom” circulated in an online community. It highlighted a candid moment from one of Seo Min Jung’s past variety show appearances. At the time, she recalled her college days, saying, “I was short on money back then. My mom didn’t give me an allowance.”

She continued, “I tried tutoring, but I kept getting sleepy. I ended up falling asleep with the student and got fired.” She then shared another unusual part-time experience, explaining that a friend introduced her to a job opportunity. “They told me I could earn money easily, so I followed an older man around. I said I had no experience in sales, but they told me to just assist.”

Seo Min Jung added, “I went to the subway with a box of rubber gloves. While the man explained the product, he told me to hang onto the subway handle using the gloves to show how durable they were.” Her story amused everyone on set.
She also revealed, “I earned 3,400 won and went home, but my mom was furious. She told me to bring my bag, saying her friend had seen everything. She said, ‘You’d be better off begging. I paid for your college education, and this is what you’re doing?’”

In January, Seo Min Jung shared an update on social media, writing, “I couldn’t send greetings at the end of the year or for the New Year, and now half of January has already passed. This winter in New York feels especially cold.” She added, “It gets dark and quiet by 4 p.m., but when I go out to Broadway to watch shows, it’s full of people.”
She continued, “It’s been about three years since I last visited Korea. I miss the winter air there. Even from afar, I always hope and pray that everyone stays healthy.” Along with the message, she posted photos of her daily life, including visits to theaters and snowy streets in New York.

She also shared moments of enjoying a meal with her husband, showing a warm smile. Her husband caught attention for his handsome appearance and eye smile, which resembles Seo Min Jung’s. Netizens reacted warmly, leaving comments such as “She’s just as beautiful as ever,” “Wishing her only good things,” and “I hope to see her on TV more often.”
Seo Min Jung married a Korean-American dentist in 2007 and has since been living in New York, raising their daughter. Their home, reportedly located in an upscale Manhattan apartment, is estimated to be worth between 3 to 4 billion won, drawing further interest from the public.
