According to Sports Seoul on February 15, a post titled “KakaoTalk Messages Shared by a Parent from the Same School as Lee Boo-jin” recently surfaced on an online community. The post included a screenshot allegedly showing a conversation between Lee and another parent, which was later shared on Instagram.
In the conversation, the parent inquired about hotel package reservations, specifically asking about swimming pool access. Lee Boo-jin responded in a composed and polite tone, carefully explaining the schedule, cabana booking status, and availability. She reportedly added, “Please feel free to contact me if there’s any inconvenience.”
When the parent replied with compliments such as, “How can you speak so beautifully?” and “I’ve become a big fan,” Lee responded humbly, saying, “It’s simply something I should do.” She also reacted modestly to praise about her appearance, reportedly replying, “Pretty? At my age…” The tone of the exchange surprised many netizens, who were struck by her approachable and considerate demeanor.
The post quickly gained traction, prompting a wave of reactions online. Comments included, “Even a chaebol engages in everyday social interactions,” “If she responds that kindly, that says a lot,” and “Her way of speaking is so refined.”
Meanwhile, Lee Boo-jin currently serves as president of Hotel Shilla and chairperson of the Visit Korea Committee. She attended the opening ceremony of the Korea Grand Sale in Seoul’s Myeongdong district last December, according to Yonhap News Agency coverage. Her son, Lim Dong-hyun, recently graduated from Whimoon High School in Seoul and has been accepted into Seoul National University.
