According to SBS, Hong Seok Cheon will appear as a special MC on the March 3 episode of Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny, airing at 10:40 p.m., where he will reveal that his daughter’s wedding is scheduled for January next year.
He reportedly stunned everyone by sharing an ultra-glamorous guest list, including actors Byeon Woo Seok, Choo Young Woo, and Lee Jun Young all of whom have appeared on his popular content series “Hong Seok Cheon’s Jewelry Box.” Details about his “grand plans” for the wedding will be unveiled during the broadcast.
Hong Seok Cheon previously adopted his niece and nephew in 2008 after his older sister divorced. In December 2025, he shared on the YouTube channel “Yeouido Yuktoe Club” that his daughter had first expressed her intention to get married. At the time, he candidly opened up about his worries over selecting a wedding venue and other preparations.
He humorously predicted that nearly 1,000 guests could attend the ceremony, noting, “Even 300 people show up for my birthday parties.” Joking about wedding gifts, he added, “I thought the only place I’d ever get back the congratulatory money I’ve given out would be at a funeral. Thankfully, that’s not the case,” drawing laughter.
Speaking affectionately about his future son-in-law, Hong described him as being from Busan, with a charming personality, thick hair, and a sturdy physique. He also quipped, “I haven’t even walked down the aisle with a man myself,” adding that rather than simply sitting in the family seat, he hopes to walk into the ceremony alongside his daughter.
Meanwhile, the same episode will introduce chef couple Kim Hee Eun and Yoon Dae Hyun as the 101st “destiny couple” on the show. Kim Hee Eun is expected to share a shocking story from her past, revealing that her father once threw an ashtray at her for opposing her culinary ambitions, prompting her to run away from home with nothing but a piggy bank.
Kim Hee Eun drew attention after appearing as a “white spoon” contestant on Culinary Class Wars Season 2, further raising anticipation for the upcoming broadcast.
