On March 12, Han Ga In uploaded a new video titled “What Happens If Han Ga In, Whose Face Is the Most Interesting, Tries Shanghai Wanghong Makeup?” on her personal YouTube channel “Free Woman Han Ga In.” The video showed the actress traveling to Shanghai with the production team of her channel.
During the trip, Han Ga In decided to try the trending “Wanghong makeup,” a bold and glamorous beauty style popular among Chinese influencers. The actress explained that she wanted to challenge herself after many subscribers requested to see her in a more dramatic makeup look.
A makeup artist who remembered Han Ga In from her appearance in the drama Witch Yoo Hee carefully created a striking transformation, styling her with elaborate makeup and accessories from head to toe. Even Han Ga In seemed surprised by the result.

“This is the ultimate level of glamour. There’s nothing more glamorous than this,” she said. “I think I can graduate from this type of look now.”
After completing the look with an especially elaborate hair accessory, Han Ga In exclaimed, “Without a doubt, this is the most extravagant hair accessory I’ve ever worn.”
The production staff and local Chinese employees watching the transformation could not hide their admiration, repeatedly saying, “You’re so beautiful.”
Despite already being known for her natural beauty, the dramatic makeup and ornate styling made Han Ga In look almost like a painting. She later posed for photos at Shanghai’s Yuyuan Garden, fully embracing the Wanghong-inspired concept while following directions from a local photographer.
However, removing the elaborate styling proved to be just as challenging as putting it on. Han Ga In joked, “Taking off the hair accessories is no joke. My head is so heavy that people with turtle neck syndrome or neck disc problems shouldn’t try this.”

After finally removing everything, she sighed in relief. “It feels so refreshing. I feel alive again,” she said.
Even taking off the makeup itself required much more effort than usual. “It took three times longer than my normal routine. I usually use about two cotton pads with eye remover, but today I used fifteen,” she added with a laugh.
