On the March 15 episode of SBS variety show My Little Old Boy, Ha Ji Won appeared as a guest and spoke openly about her dating history.
Ha Ji Won also revealed that she recently enrolled as a member of the class of 2026 in a culinary department, explaining why she decided to start university life again. Born in 1978, the actress is currently 47 years old.
She shared her excitement about being a freshman, saying, “I want to join clubs and go on MT trips too.”
During the broadcast, she said, “My last relationship was eight years ago. Actually, it might have been even longer than that.”
When asked about her past comments about preferring younger men, she confirmed that her preference has not changed.
When Seo Jang Hoon mentioned, “You once said you feel more comfortable dating younger men than older ones,” Ha Ji Won replied, “I still feel more comfortable with someone younger. I just like someone I can have a good conversation with.”
Seo Jang Hoon then jokingly asked, “Would someone 15 years younger be okay?” Ha Ji Won simply smiled and shook her head without saying anything. When Shin Dong Yup teased, “What about someone from the class of 2026?” she laughed and said, “That would be a big problem.”
When asked about dating a professor instead, she joked, “The professor might actually be younger than me,” which made everyone laugh.
Ha Ji Won also revealed that she recently enrolled in a university culinary program as part of her plans for the future.
“I entered the Culinary & Food Design Department as a member of the class of 2026,” she said, adding that the decision was partly related to preparing for a life as a single person.
When host Shin Dong Yup jokingly suggested she could date someone among her college classmates, Ha Ji Won laughed and replied that she spends most of her time at home.
“I’m usually a homebody. I stay at home, eat, lie down, and even watch TV while lying down,” she said, drawing laughter from the studio.
Meanwhile, Ha Ji Won will also showcase her new campus life as a freshman through the upcoming JTBC web variety show 26학번 지원이요, where viewers will see her adjusting to student life.
