On December 30, Gong Myung’s agency, Saram Entertainment, told multiple media outlets that the actor had been admitted to the hospital due to dizziness. The agency added that Gong Myung is currently recovering and is expected to return to filming later this week.
According to reports, Gong Myung was hospitalized after suddenly experiencing symptoms of sudden hearing loss. Sudden hearing loss is a condition in which hearing in one or both ears rapidly decreases or disappears without clear warning signs. The exact cause is often unknown, and the condition may be accompanied by tinnitus or dizziness.

As a result of his hospitalization, tvN canceled the scheduled filming of the drama Secret Gratitude and rescheduled it for January 2.
Since being discharged from the military in June 2023, Gong Myung has been actively working across various projects. This year alone, he appeared in TVING’s Way Back Love, tvN’s Second Shot at Love, and Netflix’s Mercy for None. He also took on a leading role in the Netflix film Love Untangled.
The drama currently in production, Secret Gratitude, is a romantic comedy that follows the story of a charismatic head of the audit office who hides a secret and an elite auditor who is suddenly demoted to handling internal scandals. Filming began in September, and the series is scheduled to air in the first half of next year. Gong Myung plays the role of the audit team’s ace.
In addition, Gong Myung is preparing for the release of the Netflix film Husbands in Action and is set to begin filming his next project, MBC’s Your Ground, further underscoring his busy schedule once he fully recovers.
